FedEx Update Part II

Package has been located and is on the truck, heading to our client.
Following closely at its heels is a duplicate package we made last night.
Yesterday was a nightmare. We spent four hours attempting to recreate a presentation box that took a week to put together. After the news of the "missing" package it was decided we had to have to send replacement so it was a scramble of cutting, spray-mounting, sticking, cutting, spray-mounting, etc at a frantic rate until 8:00 last night when the (almost) duplicate package was taken to the airport for delivery. I was tempted to suggest that someone hop on a plane and just hand deliver it so we would KNOW that it made it.
In a delirious state last night a few co-workers and I began to ponder what happens to lost FedEx packages that never surface. I imagined an "Island of Misfit Toys" kind of scenario, all the displaced FedEx packages living together somewhere far away. Another thought maybe FedEx actually recovers the packages and, shamed to admit they lost them, rips the labels off and holds a huge auction every year, where people can bid on anonymous FedEx boxes, then open them to find out what they bought. There were other theories about the Bermuda Triangle, etc.
Last night I wished I was in the Bermuda Triangle. Today is going to be better.....
