The Weekend

A very nice weekend. The search for crispy pizza crust continues (any recipe suggestions would be great!) but we had fun making it, even though our crust still turned out more like chewy pita bread.

The highlight of our weekend (this is going to make us sound terribly boring/pathetic): we rented "Waiting for Guffman" on Friday night. Even though it's been out for several years neither of us had ever seen it. Oh my. I have not laughed so hard in months. I had loved "Best in Show" but "Guffman" was even better. Unfortunately Andrew and I both had the annoying (yet catchy) songs from it stuck in our heads and kept singing them to each other. And quoting the movie. All weekend. Now I'm at work this morning with no one to look at and yell, "I hate you people, you're bastard people!"

Our store only carried it in VHS but I looked at Amazon and found that the DVD has extra footage, deleted scenes, commentary, etc. Hooray! I have a tendency to become a little obsessed with movies that I really like, watching them over and over. All the special features on DVDs just feed this problem.

We also rented "The Good Girl" with Jennifer Anniston, which was also laugh-out-loud funny but only in the parts where it was supposed to be serious.
