House Hunt: Round Two.

Looked at many many houses over the weekend, none of which compared favorably to the one we bid on a few weeks ago. We put in another offer this morning, upped our price quite a bit. Hopefully things will work out.

While none of the houses we looked at were good candidates for a future home, many of them certainly had an entertainment value. I can't think about this too much or I will start laughing out loud at work (which always gets me strange looks) but one of them, an empty house, mind you - had a rustic country-style kitchen (which was bad enough) complete with large, built-in, white ceramic cow, pig and chicken heads over the cabinets. Built-in. Ceramic. Animal. Heads. Man, I wished I had taken my camera with me!

Other houses weren't so much funny as just creepy, particularly the ones with basements that looked like the setting of a snuff film. I have to wonder - when people leave rooms containing only a bare single mattress with a spotlight shining on it...or a noose-like rope hanging from the ceiling of their dank, horrible basement ....what are these real estate agents thinking?
